FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES?
Aircraft maintenance management covers the full scope of keeping a private or business aircraft airworthy and operational. At MJets, this includes line maintenance (routine checks between flights), base maintenance (scheduled heavy checks and major inspections), AOG support, component repair and overhaul, parts procurement, aircraft cleaning and detailing, pre-purchase inspections, entry-into-service support, and modification or engineering work. Maintenance activities are tracked against manufacturer programmes and airworthiness directives, with full documentation maintained throughout.
CAN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SERVICES BE PERFORMED INTERNATIONALLY?
MJets' primary maintenance facility is based at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, but our AOG support extends across our five-country network, Thailand, Singapore, India, Cambodia, and Myanmar, with engineers despatched to resolve grounding issues wherever they occur within that footprint. For jet maintenance requirements outside this network, MJets coordinates with authorised service centres.
WHAT FACTORS AFFECT AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT COSTS WITH MJETS?
Maintenance costs depend on the aircraft type and age, the scope of work required (a routine line check versus a major base maintenance event), the availability of parts, and whether work falls under manufacturer warranty. Aircraft with international registrations may also involve additional documentation or compliance steps depending on the registry. MJets provides transparent quotations based on the specific maintenance requirements, with the scope of work and associated costs being reviewed before maintenance begins.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD BUSINESS JETS UNDERGO MAINTENANCE CHECKS?
Maintenance intervals are set by each aircraft's manufacturer maintenance programme and are generally based on flight hours, cycles (takeoffs and landings), and calendar time. Line maintenance checks are typically at shorter intervals, occurring between flights or at set flight-hour intervals. Base maintenance checks are scheduled at longer intervals, such as annually, and may involve more extensive inspections and maintenance tasks. MJets tracks these intervals for every managed aircraft through our CAMO oversight, allowing upcoming requirements to be identified and scheduled in advance.
