William E. Heinecke came to the Kingdom of Thailand in 1963 and founded the Minor Group in 1968. Over five decades later the group has grown substantially with revenue of over USD4bn and the market cap of over USD5bn listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1988 as Minor International Public Company Limited
Kirit Shah
Kirit C Shah joined the family business aged 21 in 1974. Inspired by opportunities in the Arabian Gulf, he set to transform the grain business into a commodities trading powerhouse. He accelerated the transformation after taking the helm in 1980, expanded operations globally and entered new sectors including shipping, chemicals, hospitality, construction and pharmaceuticals.
Kirit formed GP Group at the turn of the millennia, focusing on large-scale strategic investments and diversifying its portfolio to include technology, private aviation and a number of listed companies.
